Hi

I recently bought a Desktop computer with Windows 2000 Professional. It's a great operating system, my question is when I plug in the headphones, to listen to online Videos, no sound comes through. I've adjusted the volume and all.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanx

If your trying to listen to sound on headphones directly out of the output on the back of the computer you will hear very little if any sound. Plug in a set of speakers in the output jack then plug the headphones in the speakers and you should hear the sound. For the sound if im correct is not amplified coming out through there and when you use the speakers it amplifies it. So try that and should fix your problem.

If you bought a computer with 2000 on it, chances are that it's a used PC, so you should verify that you have sound drivers installed.
Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager.
Look for any yellow exclamation marks or red question marks.
Also, open Control Panel -> Sounds and verify that a sound card is listed as installed there.
