Sorting Control Panel items by column-Impossible???

Hi all,
They in Win7 Control Panel items (when viewed in a window, not menu-link) they're sorted across-then-down.

I'm not sure what everyone sees as a "normal" preference, but I personally think it's jarring and un-natural to view when sorted across-then-down.

Is there any flexibility on this window? Any way to choose a more natural "newspaper-column" style sort?
