sorting alphabetically

My report is grouped by Broker Name and then by Office Name. The Office Name is sorting alphabetically, however the Broker Name is not. If I go into Sort and see my options, the Ascending and Descending options are grayed out. What can I do to sort my Broker name alphabetically also?

I do not want to delete the group name and redo it again because I have subtotals calculated by the groups.

Report|Change Group Expert will allow you to change the sorting options for groups. That Asc/Desc option is for adding sorting on a field without adding a corresponding group on that field, so that it will be grayed out when the group is highlighted.

HI,

When I go to this option: Change Group Option...Options and select in ascending or descending order (the order of the report does not change even though I refresh it). There is another option...in specified format and I thought that I would actually go and specify it in alphabetical order. However that lists only 3 of the several names and groups the other under "Others" . There is also a tab called Others where it has the following 3 options:

1. Discard all others
2. Put all others together with the name "Others"
3. Leave in their own groups

I selected the third option but still I can see only 3 names in the second tab ("Specified order) and the other names are still grouped under Others.
