hello,

i have a subform, and a report. they are both running from the same query. the query has 2 fields of concern: one with a description, and the other with a numbering system to order the first field. when viewing the subform, the descriptions appear in the proper order (based on the second field of the query). however, in the report, the descriptions are placed in alphabetical order. i don't understand why this is happening since they are both running from the same query. is there perhaps something i may need to change in the properties, or is something else causing this?

thanks!

Do you have any idea what sort order would override the query? i checked the report, and i can't seem to find anything in which I have done to create a new sort. there is nothing in the properties that would allow me to create a different sort order. Is there a way to bypass this? For instance, can I do something to the report to re-order the description field?

help!
