sort by date less than 30days old

I have a record set that pulls items from a database and list them by published date. I want to create a list of these items but only display the one that have been published with the pass thridy day?

I can get today date with date();

but how do I include that in my sql statement, or am I going about this the wrong way?

any advice?

mysql but might move to mssql in the future?

With MySQL, you can use the builtin subdate function:

select * from tablename where columnname >= datesub (now(), interval 30 day)


With MSSSQL, I don't know.
