currently have 2 servers - 2003 AD as a forest root - purely admin nothing else. another 2 servers in a child domain - again both 2003 - although one was originally 2000 and then upgraded .
i want to add another domain to it - at first this will have 3 member servers for exchange and 2 DC's . this will start off life though as an upgraded nt4 domain with exchange 5.5 in it. once i have upgradeed the pdc to 2003 it will be removed once the other dc's are in. and then the exchange 5.5's will get removed as well after the mailboxes moved to 2003.
so the questions.
the 2000 server any probs patching to sp1
am i correct in saying that it's best to have all at sp1 as quick as possible after you start patching
do you do the forest domain first or the childs
should i leave sp1 off everything until the 5.5 etc is out the equation
