Does this mean your Mouse and K/Board stop working when you plug the Proj in or does it mean that you don't use your Mouse and K/board at all??? It's a little vague your description?

If that's you *cannot* use your mouse and keyboard, then I'll assume that you're connecting through S-Video port. That happens with a couple other projectors, so why not with VPLs too. If you're indeed using a S-Video connection, I'd try something else, like a RGB cable instead.
