Sometimes when I try to go to a web 1

Sometimes when I try to go to a webpage, it will partially load, then change to a blank white screen and sit there forever. The status bar says done, but it's just a blank white screen. It doesn't give any errors or warnings, and I can read the title of the webpage, just not the page itself. I already messed around with and changed my security settings alot to try to get it to work, even though it was working with my old settings about a week ago. I don't have any firewalls, but I do have norton antivirus in autoprotect mode. I erased all the ads I was blocking with the windows HOSTS file. I scanned my whole computer for viruses two times and it founds some minor ones that it deleted and quanantined. I also ran ad-aware and got rid of some spyware. However, the problem persists. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for replying! It worked, and it turned out that I had 34 forign items which were causing my browser to redirect to

http://www.couldnotfind.com

and also making it display popups. I am excited to be able to surf again!
