Some restore jobs lock up the Server

I have Backup Exec version 7.3 Rev. 2371
multiserv Edition
with a Segate Sidewinder STL6200000w
using Sony SDX1-25C AIT Data Cartridge.
running on Windows NT SP6a, 64 megs ram

Some restore jobs lock up the server, the tape drive is searching tape in the 15 to 20 min then the server locks up. After hard reboot the restore job I attempt is not in the log. There are no error in the event viewer.
