SOLVED! Digital tie trks to non-Nortel PBX's

The solution to get the tie trks able to dial into the far end(s) was in the Nortel Trunk Route. In LD16, there is a param DSEL which defaults to VOD (Voice Or Data). This had to be changed to VCE (Voice Only) to allow dialing in to each switch. All is well and thanks again, John!

voice over data will cause lots of problems, had one co "277" that could not send did calls over a tie for the same reason, worked perfect tothe 81 but wouldn't follow the tsc to remote switch across a tie, everything else worked. hard to believe we get paid for this

Sorry I didn't look at your original post. Nortel recommends that any digital TIE trunks that DON'T use a D-Channel ALWAYS be programmed as VCE or 3VCE as VOD almost always cause problems.
