I got a customer request today who wants to be able to do a group page that includes both wireless phones and desktop phones.

The plan is to use 54xx on main site and 56xx on remote sites.
But is there any wireless system that works with the page function in IP Office.

Customer said that he had been offered other systems that was able to do this, one of them was Mitel apparently.

What I know of this ain't possible today on the IPDECT system so my closest guess is Spectralink.

Any of you tried this and how does that paging work in that case?

tELL HIM HE DIDN'T BUY THOSE OTHER SYSTEMS, SO WHAT THEY CAN DO IS NOT RELEVANT.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

Well, I think he is buying that system since he ain't buying a IPO because lack of feature.
That's a pretty big deal not happening because of one missing feature.
And the funniest thing, Mitel is using the same Dect System and managed to squeeze in Grouppaging.

I think the ability to recieve a page on a wireless phone is probably a function of the wireless phone or wireless system not having that ability. Analog exts. work the same way, they just ring at best. The phone would need to have a HFAI type function to work like you are seeking.
It is a bummer that this feature will cost the deal, maybe it can be addressed in the future. Hopefully!

Yes but the thing is that Mitel also uses the same IP DECT base stations and phones, just a different software so Avaya should be able to implement this if they want to. Mitel also supports 256 basestations and 512 phones :)
Would be nice i Avaya would at least support more than 32 base stations since this would make it more interesting on systems with many small remote sites.
