solaris 9 to solaris8

Whats the best mothod for going to solaris 8 from preinstalled solaris 9?

is it simply a case of format then boot from sol8 disk.

Just boot from cdrom or net and do an "initial install".

Yes... Make sure you use the Software disk, not the installation disk.
