Solaris 8 CDE Screensaver help

Is there a way to enable a active screensaver at the login screen? My workstations go through a KVM switch. When the workstations are idle with no one logged in and the screen goes blank the switch looses the connection and no keyboard or mouse inputs will bring the login screen up.
