I have installed many machines and many times patch clusters but today I failed
I installed an old E450 with Solaris 9 (it is the FCS Version, with no eg "HW 11/2007" ;-) print), this is the version I always use; when I finished installing of the OS I created a /root/patches and ftped the 9_Recommeded.zip to this directory; then I uncompressed the zipfile as root and ran ./install_cluster as root
all patches fail to attach with errorcodes 5, 8 and 25...
Ok, maybe something went wrong during OS installation, I decided to run the installation again, I doublechecked the messages and it says thet the installation was sucessful. But installing the Recommended Patches fails again, same errorcodes. Yes, it is the SPARC Cluster (I just doublechecked)...
Any ideas?
I have a 9 Recommeded Cluster from April, I will check if this will install...
Best Regards, Franz
