Software that can/can't install with power user rights

I know the subject may sound corny, but if you work for a
university I think you'll understand. =)

I am looking for a listing of software that shows which
software does or does not install under power user rights
on Windows NT and Windows 2000.

I would sincerely appreciate any help or leads that might
help get me started (other than the product documentation).

I dont know of a listing but I can give you some thing that can help. Anything that requires changes to the registry for other users, or software level changes for other users WILL require Administrative rights to do so. If the software just installs and makes basic registry level changes that dont require changes to other user settings will install fine. James Collins

Most of the software that is W2K compatible will give a screen prompt asking if it is to be available for just the Admin account or all users.
It is just a small dialog box and is easy to miss.

It is easy to miss yes. BUT..
it only happens when logged on as an administrator. When logged on as a user/power user you do not get that box normally. James Collins
