I have a WIN2K server with no raid controller install. I would like to know how can I mirror my 2 20GB dirves without buying a raid controller. I know that NT 4.0 support software mirroring. Does WIN2K support it as well? After the installation I went to Disk Management to perform disk mirror, but I was giving only option for disk volume not any vault torlarance what so ever. Please help.

You will need to convert the current basic partitions to dynamic volumes. This can be done through Disk Management which you have already found. You right mouse click on the disk you want to made into a dyanmic disk, the section that has the colour bar graphs next to it and choose convert to dynamic disk. Once they have been converted Disk Management will allow you setup up software RAID0, RAID1 and RAID5

Thanks, I have tried this many times the only option I get when doing this is to delete the volume, properties, and some other stuff I don't need like formating, explore etc.

Well, thanks for your information. I was able to do it after re reading your instruction carefully. It works now. Thanks again for your input.
