We are using citrix to distribute an expensive piece of software. It cost 2000$ a year to have a licens for the software. When I out this software on 1 server and 20 users use the software. Should I then pay for 20 licenses for the software, or just one, since I only installed the software once.....

Depends on your software licensing, and how they interpret it!

If they take the Microsoft route, you'll have to pay out loads!!!

Cheers,
Carl.

The only answer is to contact the vendor or scrutinize the eula. It is more than likely that there will be a clause in there to deal with this - and it is likely that it will suggest a license per user.
