software causing an error in "quicktime.qts"

Hi all.

Strange problem for you!

A friend of my mum is trying to install some software for her kids.

All of it works, except one. The software uses quicktime.

Anyway, you can launch the software, but as soon as you try to do anything the prgram haults and an error message is displayed:

"LLY5 has caused an error in QUICKTIME.QTS

Learning Ladder will now close"

(LLY5 is the software)

However - i installed the software on my laptop as a check, and funnily enough it worked just fine.

So we can rule out a faulty disk.

I also used the version of quicktime provided with the software, and when that didnt work, I upgraded to the latest version, but still no luck.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

check that someone hasn't set the system clock to a date later than 2038 or any other, this solved the problem for me with a tweenies game.
