We almost have our Softphone installation working. We switched from the Nortel VPN box to a Juniper one. The tunnel appears to be working fine. All users have been able to connect through the tunnel and to bring up the Avaya Softphone version 4.2. Everyone can get dial tone and place a call. The problem is that not everyone gets voice channels once the call is placed. I happen to be one having this problem. I connected my PC to the VLAN (where the phones are connected) and I have the same problem as going through the tunnel. Not everyone has this problem. I have the firewall turned off. Anyone have any suggestions of where to look.
thanks,

check from DSP resources out to the PC of the user,
make sure you have enough dsp channels available,

sometimes it's a subnet mask or default gateway setting issue

verify you can ping the ip address of the MEDIA card or DSP daughter board (depending on what type of system you have)
