Softphone software

Thanks in advanced. I will have an employee working from home though our VPN and I'm wanting to set up softphone software on their pc so they can recieve and make calls when they are in the VPN tunnel. I was wondering how I can tell which version of softphone software I need. I am working with a Avaya G3siV11.
 
Keep in mind - you will also need a MedPro & CLAN board. That's where the true cost comes into play...

To get the software application itself (to install on the end-users machine), you can log into support.avaya.com and select your sold-to, and then download software. You should see Avaya IP Softphone R6.x out there.

Unless you have purchased IP SoftPhone V6 software you will not be able to download it. V5.2 is available outside of the firewall and can be downloaded.

Be aware that the IP SoftPhone licenses on your switch may be 'trial' licenses.

You will need a C-LAN board with an IP address that is reachable from your VPN. You can use IP SoftPhone in Telecommuter mode which does not require a MedPro.
