Hi all
Haven't run into this before. I have a 2950-48 on the network that stopped answering snmp. The switch behind it (gig stacked) answers. There is nothing wrong with it as far as the clients are concerned. These are behind a 6500.

I pulled the switch and replaced it with another switch with a different gbic. By the time I got back to my desk the new one was doing the same thing.

I hooked the 2900 back up in the office test area. After a while it stopped again. You still get a address after the drop out, and can navigate around to everwhere.

Any Ideas on this

Other then the normal "stuff" access lists / community strings .... what comes to mind is udp. Is there something else running on the box that causes udp to be dropped ?

Checked around for list and the usual and things look normal.
Switched out another switch this one doesn't seem to have the problem as the others.
I'll try to post back when I install the bad switches back into the system after a wipe.

I would look on cco for bugs for your IOS version .
