Hi all,
Currently I am using IIS5 in Windows 2000 for sending e-mail from our internal network to our ISP. Recently, I noticed random messages being stuck in the mailroot\queue directory. When checking out the event logs, I find that I am getting the following:
Event ID 4000 - SMTPSVC
Message delivery to the remote domain 'yahoo.com' failed for the following reason: Unable to successfully connect to the remote server.
I have verified that the settings for the SMTP VS are correct, the correct ports on the firewall are open and the correct version of IIS is installed but mail keeps getting held in the queue. At this point, I feel like somehow this is a routing issue but could use some ideas..
Thanks and sorry for the book..
