Team.. I'm stuck.
Exchange on an SBS2003 box - AD no errors, internal mail no errors. I can use EFS (pop pulldown prog) and it delivers mail to the correct exchange recipient...
However, I have tried both SMTP and the built in POP conctr and it delivers ALL email to admin account - POP log shows as unknown or BCC type recipient and the header then shows ercipient as <administrator> once it reaches the inbox (yes admin is set as the catch all for all NDR crap / spam etc).
I've service packed and hotfixed both the box and exchange.

The last thing I've to rule out is TREND neatsuite which is on the server but turned OFF... also wouldn't the application event log which shows the POP collection of the email as unknown recipient or BCC be showing this BEFORE it gets to the email scanner?

Been Bugging me for 1 week now.

Sounds to me like you have journaling turned on.

To disable standard journaling
1. In Exchange System Manager, expand Servers, expand <your Exchange server>, expand <storage group>, and then right-click the mailbox store.

2. On the General tab, de-select Archive all messages sent or received by mailboxes on this store.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Sorry Mark... Allready turned off.
I'm uninstalling Trend AV tomorrow, will post back if this fixes...
But if anyone else has any ideas....
