Hi All,

I need to be able to get a user's SMTP address from Active Directory using their login username (which I am able to get)

Is there any way to get this info from AD ?

Cheers,
D

I had to do this once but I was lucky that the guy that set up Exchange had already done all the LDAP field mapping so I just borrowed his "map."

Oh, and and there were some funky LDAP field names... like "sn" was Last Name ... an abbreviation for Sir Name.

Check this out:

If you haven't used LDAP before then be warned it is kinda, um uh.... well it makes SQL look pretty.

There is supposedly a way to query the AD with SQL but I never quite figured it out. Also I didn't want to spend the extra time braining it out because the LDAP technique, although ugly, did work.
