Hello all,

I am in the process of creating a DMZ, My problem is the IIS SMTP relay will not trasfer mail to the Exchange server. In the PIX in order to reslove DNS we added an access list to use UDP eq Domain, we can now use our ISP to resolve DNS. Since this change I cannot get the mail passed to the Exchange server from the DMZ. I am tring to use the Smart Host on the IIS server with a static IP to the Exchage Server, we do not want the outgoing mail to use the IIS server, it can send mail from the LAN. Any ideas?

Thanks

Can you telnet to port 25 on the Exchange server from the IIS server? This will ensure you've got your PIX configured correctly.
