Hello,

I dont understand how to setup the smtp connectors so if mail comes into site A for a user on site B how it forwards that to the other site. setup is below

The bit I am struggling with is the SMTP address tab what email addresses do I put in there? How does this work??

I dont want to use a routing group connector because I want the mail to be sent external over the internet to each site. If I add a routing group connector the mail goes down the leased line which is used for other data.

SETUP INFO
I have two sites in one active directory domain.

At site A they have an exchange server 2003, anyone on this server has the email address username@domain.com

At site B they have an exchange server 2003, anyone on this server has an email address of username@differentdomainname.com this is there primary
also they have secondary email address of username@domain.com

Help!

First of aal you need to add "differentdomain.com" to the A - Recipient Policies.

Next you go to the Default SMTP Virtual Server on A, properties, Messages and enter at the bottom site B as Host to forward to.

Restart services!
