I've got this smsx.exe that makes 1 of my server to run it's CPU to 100%. I can't end the process on the task manager, access denied. SO I reboot the server then manage to stop and delete the file. I'm afraid it will come back again another day, I haven't really surf the net yet to find out more about it. Is there anybody there who got experience this before. Any input will be much appreciated.

my pc (running w2k) had been acting very slow for several days -- the screensaver was essentially paralyzed -- and just yesterday, i traced the problem to smsx.exe using Task Manager. a google search on smsx.exe brought me to this thread. is this a new problem? i keep my virus detection software up-to-date, but it didn't detect this problem.

I got this link and because I'm using NAV, I reported it to symantec already. I'm just waiting...
