We have an image that once it is pushed on a system and then the user logs on SMS is not installed. If I run smsls.bat from the netlogon share it works fine. Any idea where I can look to see what is going on?

Do you know where in the logon script it is failing? We had the exact same issue and had to go through a process of placing "markers" in the logon script to see how it progressed till we found were it was failing. Then were able to fix the problem.

We had Novell Client on the system. I removed the client and logged on and SMS was installed.
I re-installed the Novell client after removing SMS and after logging on the SMS client was installed. Made a new image and everything is working now. Damn Novell

Sadly we are running Novell as well but the problem did not lie with Novell, although we like to think all problems can be traced to Novell. Glad to hear you got it working.
