A discovery record is just basic information about a machine discovered by SMS. The client is not installed at this point. What you have to do is either push the SMS client to the systems using the "Client Push" feature or find another means of installing the client on these machines (login script, startup script, manual, etc). Once the client is installed, then they should show up in the SMS reports.
