SMS Client Install - Error 126 on Windows 2000 Pro Clients

Ever since adding new Windows 2000 SP 2 machines, SMS client fails to install.

In the WNMANUAL.LOG file the following error is listed:

ERROR: Load of DLL CliEx32.dll failed (C:\WINNT\MS\SMS\CORE\BIN\cliex32.dll), 126~

ERROR: Initializing CliEx failed error code 126~

Anyone have a clue on how to resolve this issue?

I've found that I can manually copy all of the correct *.DLL files etc... from another client into the directory and it works fine. To be honest, its a crappy and intensive work around.

If you are using smsman to install SMS on the clients, you might want to test using "smsboot1.exe".
