Smoothly scrolling text

Folks,

I am trying to develope a speed-reading program for my own personal use.

I want the program to display a text file, character by character, from right to left in a single horizontal line on the screen. As characters appear on the right side, they smoothly scroll across the screen and disappear on the left.


Can anyone help?

Can you clarify your requirements? You seem to have posted the same question in this forum (VB6), which will produce an executable, and in the Javascript forum, presumably for a website.

If you actually want an executable, then do a search on this forum for 'horizontal scroll'. You will find several answers, including the excellent thread222-531427 by strongm
