I need help i have software name solarwindows

works with cisco

but to make a buck of need snmp

some know how to setup snmp

One line can do it.....
> snmp-server community xxxx RO
Where "xxxx" is a string of your choice.
RO = read only !

A few more as information to the SolarWinds...
> snmp-server location yyyyy
> snmp-server contact mr.X

Put in the community string in SolarWinds when creating a new unit. Then it can collect the interfaces etc. from the unit.

Type the snmp-server line into the configuration using the CLI. There isn't any more that's required.

snmp-server is a configuration command, hence you need to be in configuration mode.
