You can force the media gateway to register to its prim, alt1, or alt2 Cs1000 addresses via Ld 135:
SMGR XX YY where xx = prim/alt1/alt2 and yy = the cabinet number... then on your alt1, or alt2, to force it to register back, issue smgr PRIM YY.
This is out the System Redundancy NTP; I didn't verify the command in the I/O Maintenance NTP - never used it...
