Has anybody successfully managed to printout SMDR info to a printer, I am currently trying to printout hotel check in/out status and phone usage from an iPECS MFIM50a to a citizen cbm 1000 rs232 printer but as of yet I am not getting anything out of it :-(

Thanks for looking

Hi Bpafc

PGM 175 you need to set SMDR print to serial 1.

You will also probably have to change the baud rate on the serial port to slower than 115200, or whatever you printer can handle.

Have you tried hyperterminal to see if you can print call deatils to your PC?

Hi bpafc,
You will also need a straight through cable... default is NO CTS/RTS as per PGM 174
9 way D-type on the MFIM50A to a 9 way D-Type on the printer - Cable will be 2-2, 3-3, and 5-5
0r if its
9 way D-type on the MFIM50A to a 25 way D-Type on the printer - Cable will be 2-3, 3-2, and 5-7

Regards
Steve

Thanks again guys,

I now have a straight through cable courtesy of SteveBUK (needed a little desoldering and resoldering) Also had to drop it to 19200 baud rate 9600 was giving all sorts of weird output..now to put hotel software on one of my newly recovered MFIMs and test check in out printouts brilliant.....can never fault the help dished out on tek-tips
