We are using a new Trisys product called Replay to record all conversations over the PRI. The Replay box has a passive tap to the PRI and uses the D channel information to store the channel number in the reording name as a wav file. The SMDR output from the phone system (MICS 7.0) is then used to create a web report with a URL to the wav file. For proper channel to trunk mapping we are using SL-1 format on the SMDR6. A confusing issue has come to light - the channel that the D channel is reporting is not the same as the trunk that the SMDR is reporting. The inconsistancy appears random. Trisys has this configuration up and running correctly in about 12 other locations with PRI, but none with Norstar. Is there something about channel mapping in Nortel that is different than most key systems?
