SMBServer 4.0 Licence Error in Event Log......... 1

Hi all

Users are getting an error saying that the server can not connect them as there is already to many conections.

The event log on the server say's this

No licence was avalible for user **** using product SMBServer 4.0

I have looked at my licencing and there is no SMBServer.

Any ideas??

By default the server has 5 licences when it is installed. These are server side licences (ie they only apply to the server they come with). You can also get per seat licences which are for the user, these licences will allow the user to log onto any server in your domain.

If you stop the Licence Log service the error will go away. New Zealand, a great place to visit.

Do I need to restart the licence log server, or are you saying just stop and restart it.

Just stop the Licence Log service and it will not be counting the logons - but I didn't tell you that (c: New Zealand, a great place to visit.
