Small windows problem

this is probably a MS support thing but I'm from New Zealand and it'll cost me an arm and a leg to fix what could be a really simple problem.<br>

A while ago I installed an update for windows 95 to solve a problem with an AMD-K6 processor. After this whenever I maximise windows explorer it goes to the wrong placve on the screen, about 2 cm down and just far enough to loose the close button off the edge of the screen. I don't know if the update is the cause of this but it's about the only thing out of the ordinary that has happened to my computer recently. Also explorer is the only application that does this.

Yes, be sure that you have the correct screen resolution. Also make sure that all of your folders are alike by selecting Folder Options under the View Menu <p>Joe<br><a href=mailto: > </a><br><a href= > </a><br>

Change your screen resolution to 640 x 480 256 colors and then back where you want it. That should fix it!

I agree with trying to adjust your resolution, but I would also check for updated drivers for your monitor and your video card. Also upgrade to IE5(if you haven't already). I had a problem with my screen being cockeyed also. Getting Windows to recognize the right monitor and Video card was the right solution. It all has to do with the refresh rates. Thats what worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you also.

Thanks to everyone who replyed to this. The problem actually fixed it self. I ran two Windows explorers. The first had the problem as described but the second was fine.
