OK, I have managed to get some data to appear in the dropdown, but it always shows blank before I click on it instead of the first row.
How do I get round this?

Also, how would I set the a row as selected based on the row index number?

If it is blank then there is no link with the look-up table.
Probably the current value doesn't exist in the look-up table.

As much as I tried I could not get it to work correctly. Gave up and used a normal combobox add the list manually.

Did you look in the FAQ area?

the lookupcombo has a text section (your database) and dropdown list (lookup database).

the text section is blank until you fill it with text or a selection from the lookup list.
