Folks:

One of the companies our company supports has some email needs that require reinstallation of thier Exchange 2000 standard server. They cannot produce any media...and the only media I have on hand is from a Small Business install of Exchange 2000.

Is the media the exact same as the "regular" media?

Thanks

Coty

Simple and short - no!

Need to clarify.
Are they running a Windows 2000 server hosting Exchange 2000 or are they running Small Business Server 2000 hosting Exchange 2000? The Exchange 2000 CD Media should be the same. It should not matter on which type, Win2000 or SBS2000, of server is hosting it. The Exchange CD should state Exchange 2000 Standard or Enterprise Edition. This CD is used to install Exchange on a Windows 2000 "type" server.

Then I agree with Marcs41......no, not the same. They will need to purchase another CD from Microsoft. If they already have the license, this should not be a problem.
