I received an alarm for one of my ASM's (OP_CMON55002) Session Manager monitors its sip entity links. An alarm is generated when a link status changes.SIP Monitoring detects that the alarmed SIP entity is not successfully responding to SIP OPTIONS requests.

From the SMGR dashboard everything is showing green and I've executed all the tests against it fine. I notice there are registrations that have this SM as primary, but they arent' registered. Only to the secondary. Something tells me something is wrong, but I'm not visually seeing it. Is there something I can check for this?

Are any links "partially up"? Say you have LHNR to 2 voicemail servers and one's up, one's down, it won't show "down" in the dashboard like 1/10 down, but in the drill down you'll see it partially up.

Re: why phones aren't registering, maybe a cert? Maybe some reason why they otherwise can't reach it?

One main issue is flash player is gone so I can't get to the entity monitoring page. From the dashboard it shows 1/9 for entity monitoring. I know about the 1, so that's not an issue. However, under Registrations is says 6/0 When I go to user registrations, which are J169 AST devices.. they are registered to the secondary SM and not this primary. I provisioned and launched a new phone and what's weird is I'm showing registered to the primary, but not secondary and that 6/0 hasn't changed. I thought it would have said 6/1.

Must have rebooted today i think.?

I believe 6/0 is "currently registered over max # registered in the last 24 hours"

I'd always expect the 2nd number to be higher.

It's not the phones themselves, since I have one up and registered. The SM dashboard shows all green for that specific one, except that 6/0 number.

6/0 are you referring to registrations or entity monitoring?

yeah, that's 6 current over 0 being the max over the last 24 hours. You usually see that after a reboot. Normally you see a smaller number over a larger number - 990/1000 - meaning you lost 10 over the last 24 hours

I don't think it rebooted. I got the alarm in the original post from my SAL GW. Since these are AST devices and they have a prim and secon SM defined, I'd have thought it would auto register once it saw it as online.

that alarm is just a link down. if uptime in linux shows >1 day, youve got something else

/var/log/Avaya/...../operationalEvent.log I think has all the registrations/unregistrations/failed registrations

check that?

Since these servers arent' slated to be upgraded/replaced for a few more months, what is the correct browser that still supports flash? I was on the support site and they referenced Pale Moon. I downloaded it, but still get the same flash player message.
