Hi everyone,

My application was written in Foxpro Dos v2.6a and run under Win98 SE networking(1 server, 2 clients + 1 hub D-link).

Recently, I have added a printer card (PCI parallel LPT2 - 32 bits) in client 1 computer and use Net use command on client 2 computer to be able to send the prints on the new sharing printer (LPT2).

The problem is when I printed from client 2 it takes up to 1.5 minutes to print on the paper.

The client 1 printed very fast (10 seconds) because the printer card was added directly in this computer.

Windows 2000 has LPT timeout by default, does anyone know how to change LPT timeout in Win98 SE?

thanks a lot,

Also, are you using "SET PRINTER TO" after your print job?

RUN NET USE LPT2 \\cpuname\printersharename
SET PRINTER TO LPT2
* PRINT THE REPORT OR TEXT:
* - REPORT FORM XX TO PRINT
* - SET PRINT ON / SET PRINT OFF
SET PRINTER TO
