We've deployed Xp+FR1 into several environments and in all of them we're experiencing performance issues when printing.Small print jobs to 70k are ok but anything larger seems to get drip fed at about 4Kb/sec.
Xp's running on a number of Win 2k servers in an NT4 domain using IP/WINS. Clients are NT4 SP6 using network printers (local printers perform fine) and the ICA connection is set to map the default only. Problem occurs from all apps we can print from. No throttling has been deployed.
Drivers are a mix of Lexmark & HP with mapping deployed to a large number of models. The Print server is using TCP/IP ports for all printers. All drivers in the farm are Win2k versions. The print server's running NT4 versions.
You can see the Citrix server spools the job locally in no time at all so it appears to be delayed when routing back through to the print server.
Any ideas?????
