Hi,
I've recently installed a Cisco 2950T-24 switch, using mainly the default settings.
I'm concerned that when I ping the switch itself from a port plugged directly into the switch, I get a relatively slow ping speed with a regular blip:
bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=8ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=15ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=255
bytes=32 time=7ms TTL=255
The switch seems to be performing okay apart from that: if I ping another device on the switch, I get a ping time of 1 ms!!!
I'm confused! Any suggestions?
