We are experiencing that our Outlook clients are getting slow connections to the Exchange 2000 server. They occasionally get the "requesting data message" in the lower right hand of the taskbar when Outlook is open.

I was just wondering if this is a known issue and if anyone has experienced this...

Our Exchange server is on a Windows 2003 server.

Thanks in advance

The clients are Outlook 2000 and 2003. Somehow, I am lead to believe that this is a problem with the Exchange server and not the clients...

Hi,
There are many possible reasons for this message appearing. They range from a slow link to an older mail server being referenced and everything in between.
What link have you to the mailserver?
When did the problem begin to appear?
Have you migrated from an older mailserver?
Have you tried creating a brand new outlook profile on the clients-this has worked for me before.....
Are you DNS settings correct?
