Just been asked a rather strange questions.

This site operate at 6 locations. Each user has a unique shared profile, which contains desktop shortcuts, macros, individual settings, etc which is stored locally at their site, These can be up to 15M in size. When a user goes to another site and logs in, it takes a considerable time to download their profile and hence the complaint.

On a large enterprise network, such as this, is there a better way of doing this, to reduce the time it takes to log in at another site. DFS, etc ? Welcome views.

I would go with storing everything in a home directory. If you are moving a 15mb profile everytime you login, you need to rethink the roaming profiles. Train the users to store everything in a central location (ie: home directories) because no matter where they go, the drive will (should) always be mapped.
