slow internet connection

I have a win 98 machine with a Eicon Diva USB ISDN internet connection and my connection keeps timing out.
The machine connects to the internet no problems at 64k but when you try to browse a web page or check e-mail it doesn't do anything and times out or I get an error messages about the network.

Has anyone got any ideas?

A couple of things first. "The machine connects to the internet no problems at 64k...", how do you know that when you continue, "...try to browse a web page or check e-mail it doesn't do anything..."? Do you mean you are able to dialup your ISP with no bother?

So you mention timeouts and, "...error messages about the network...".

What is/are the error messages?
