This is a tricky one but I will try to give as much info as I can. Here's the situation:
I have one user (of course he has to be an exec) who's outlook (on ex5.5sp4) performace is off and on very slow. I've narrowed it down to it having some realationship with the size of the email and attachments. i.e. When he opens a 7mb email (mainly and attachment) it takes aproximately 2 mins to open. When he opens a 2k file it pops up quick. BUT this only happens on his machine! He is using a Dell Latitue 600, which was a replacement for a Latitue 5000 with the same problem.
Now the strange thing is when I plug in my computer or just about any other computer, on his jack and log in as him the emails work fine. Even the 7mb file pops up w/in 5seconds.
I've tested the line with a tester and with other computers. And they don't show any problems.
We are using Cisco VoIP, but this occurs even when I don't go throught the phone for a connection. The only non-image programs that I saw installed are a sony image viewer and a DVD viewer. Both of which have been unistalled.
One other caveat is that when I log in as myself on his computer, my email pops up with in a reasonable amount of time. Also when I log in as him on a server (not the exchange server) or another computer on the same connection and not on the same connection, the email works fine. It seems to be only on computers that he has had for a while.
My guess is he is cursed or is doing something wrong that he doesn't know, but I can't figure out what it is...
Any help is greatly appricated. Please let me know if you need more clues.
