Slow Exchange Backups

I am using Veritas BackUp Exec 8.6 and we are getting about 200 Mb per minute on our backups. This seems slow to me. We are using an LTO, any ideas?

I upgraded from 8.6 to 9.0 and the speed was increased

I am getting fine throughput on all of my other boxes, only Exchange is the slow poke...so I'm hesitant to upgrade until we go to 03 (later this summer). Can anyone shed some light on possible reasons for these slow throughput numbers?

Are you performing a brick Level, that can severely slow down performance.

Also, if you have a nightly virus scan on the entire store this may cause issues as well.
