Slow drop down menus in print options

I have the following problem On a G3 with Suitcase 9.0, Quark 4.01, Photoshop 5.0, 512mb ram 3Gb of free hard disk space.
I go to the print set-up window and make any change (page set-up, resolution, etc) and I get that irritating rotating circle icon with the black and white squares, which spins away for about a minute each time I touch the mouse to do anything! And this happens whenever I touch any drop-down sub-menu item in the set-up box.

Upgrade your Quark to 4.11 for starters. I would also look at the number of PPD files you have in the 'system folder\extensions\printer discription\ you may have to mean PPD's in this folder. Leave only the ones that you use. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.
