I have managed to create a slipstream Windows 2000 installation disk which has SP4 and the Update Rollup 1 for SP4 built-in.

The rollup 1 has a KB number which is fairly low (KB891861) but has a release date of 9/13/2005.

There are numerous updates for Windows 2000 which have a higher KB number and can be downloaded from

Does anyone know when Microsoft stopped releasing updates for Windows 2000? I believe they carried on releasing security updates for a while.

How can I tell which of these are updates released AFTER the rollup 1 (i.e. are NOT included in the rollup) as I would like to roll them all up into a single slipstream W2K installation disk?

Has anyone already slipstreamed all of these updates, as this would save a lot of time downloading each one separately.

MS are still releasing updates for 2k

Have a look at (play with the search - you should find what you want)
There is some software - German I think, that will retrieve updates for you. I can't remember what its called - think it works for 2k (certainly does for XP).
